"What do you do?" is now the most dangerous question in America

The grammar of work is breaking. For two centuries the question "what do you do?" had a stable answer, a job title that told a stranger roughly what you spent your days on and what you were worth. Automation of execution is loosening that link, and the loosening is arriving faster than our language for it.
